Course Requirements
This program is designed to provide students with the skills and expertise to obtain entry-level positions as Health Information Technicians in a variety of settings. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the National Accreditation Examination. This program is an occupational program typically not designed to transfer, however, this program has been articulated to some senior institutions. Please contact a counselor for specific details. All courses must be completed with a “C” or better.

HITT 125 &250 may be taken in other semesters based on facility availability. Enrollment in developmental classes may increase the length of time it takes to complete associate degree. Purchase 18 month access to VLAB when taking HITT 125 for use in HITT 106 & HITT 235.
